GRSETF presents The Whole Child - Evening session

April 25, 2019 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
At Starbridge
1650 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14620, USA

Parents, schools, physicians, and community providers often face the challenge of helping a child or adolescent with unique needs. Each of us wants to understand these needs in order to provide the best supports using the best strategies to promote growth and development. Children and youth are complex, so serving them requires a variety of perspectives and skills that can best be achieved through collaborative teamwork and effective communication, which we all know can be difficult.

This 2-hour workshop will delve into the benefits and challenges of communication across systems and highlight the thinking and suggested initial steps to begin the important process of productive collaboration.

Chuck Allan, Monroe County DHS Education Liaison
Lynn Carragher, Assistant to the Superintendent for Inclusive Education, Brockport Central School District
