DESCRIPTION:Register for Webinar Series\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSESSION 1- NOVEMBER 1: 4PM-5:30PM\n\n\n\n“Reluctance\, Avoidance\, Refusal: When Our Kids Don’t Go to School” \n\n\n\nDr Jim Wallace\, Child & Adolescent Pyschologist and Lynn Carragher\, Director of Inclusive Education\, Brockport CSD \n\n\n\nWhen children miss days of school they quickly fall behind academically\, lose important social connections with peers and teachers and develop behaviors that make returning to school more difficult. We will explore how school avoidance begins\, how and why it continues and how good communication and collaboration can re-establish daily school attendance. \n\n\n\nSESSION 2- NOVEMBER 8: 4PM-5:30PM\n\n\n\nChuck Allan-Education Liaison\, Monroe County DHS/FACT and Brice Meade\, CPS Supervisor will discuss what constitutes a FACT referral vs. a CPS referral\, and will lead a discussion on how we perceive students with low attendance and what supports are available to families. \n\n\n\nTo participate\, you must have access to a computer at another location – your home\, office\, or other facility.
