Meeting the Needs of the Whole Child - Education Conference Part 2

December 09, 2021 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm
Categories: Conference

Part 2 of Starbridge's Annual Education Conference

Presenter Lisa Bosio, Educational Consultang at Novak Educational Consulting

Being "book-smart" or good at test-taking are rarely the best markers of success. Our students must learn to collaborate, communicate, problem solve and think critically in order to thrive in the workplace as adults. Learners who are able to identify and regulate their emotions, whether working independently or with peers, can tap into parts of their brain that may otherwise be shut off to learning. This is particularly important for our learners who have been historically marginalized. In a nutshell, all learning is social and emotional. Join us to explore how to create an equitable learning environment that fosters social, emotional, behavioral, and academic growth using both UDL and social emotional learning (SEL) in your learning environment.

Join Starbridge and experts from Novak Educational Consulting for one or both sessions:

    • Focus on Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
    • Presented by Katie Novak, Ed.D.
