Corrie joined Project ESTEEM in February 2020, shortly after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts. With a passion for art and history, her goal was to find meaningful employment in her field. With guidance from her Workforce Navigator, Barb, Corrie completed pre-workforce training—gaining skills in professional image, stress management, networking, and interview techniques. Barb also accompanied Corrie to career fairs, helping her grow more confident in presenting herself to potential employers.

Corrie and Barb stayed connected throughout Corrie’s journey, overcoming the challenges of the pandemic together. With ongoing encouragement and support, Corrie continued refining her skills and seeking opportunities.

In 2021, Corrie achieved her goal—accepting a position at a local children’s museum! Today, more than three years later, she’s thriving in a job she loves and has significantly increased her responsibilities.

This is the power of HOPE—believing in what’s possible. And this is the HOW—equipping people with the tools and support to get there.

Congratulations, Corrie!
